We are so thankful for the last 15 years and what we have learned, who we have met, and the amazing businesses we have served in Johnson and surrounding counties. As we look back and are thankful for what we have accomplished thus far, we are eager to look ahead and see what can be accomplished in the next 15. We have decided to use our 15th anniversary to announce a partnership with the African Hospitality Institute in Central Uganda (www.ahi-ug.org). Two years ago, our family of four traveled to Uganda to serve and we met Maggie Josiah, the Director of this amazing vocational school. Maggie is an American woman who has dedicated the last ten years of her life to teaching, mentoring, and empowering youth of Uganda by teaching them all aspects of hospitality. In a country with 80% unemployment, Maggie's students are defying all odds when they have 100% employment upon graduation. Our family (and a couple of employees) and some friends are traveling back to Uganda in a couple of weeks to work with, teach, and learn from the students of AHI. This is kickstarting our partnership and we couldn't be more thrilled!!! Our business tagline is "Beyond Clean" but we recognize that for us....it goes much more than beyond clean. It goes beyond borders. And our desire is to employ people in our community, giving them opportunities to be empowered and inspired and in the process, do the same for students in Uganda.
