Event Description: Youth Connections Invites You To Attend C.R.A.S.E. Training (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) How would you respond if an active shooter entered your workplace? Would you know what to do to keep your staff and clients safe? In light of recent events involving school threats; shootings at schools and nonprofit organizations, Youth Connections will be holding a free CRASE workshop, for the community on Thursday, February 11th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Johnson County Public Library – Franklin Branch – 401 State Street, Franklin, IN 46131. The workshop is sponsored by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training program (ALERRT), and the Greenwood Police Department. Officer Jason Grable will be facilitating the workshop which focuses on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for effective response to these violent events. The workshop is designed to help civilians learn what to do and how to respond decisively if they are caught in the crossfire. The CRASE curriculum is the first comprehensive training designed specifically for the public. This class will give you some options on how to keep everyone safe by working together as a team when an active shooter enters your agency or business.
