This classic mid-day Chamber event offers attendees a chance to network, make introductions and hear a guest presenter speak on a practical business-related subject matter. The Chamber has been holding monthly luncheons since its inception in 1954, though the format has slightly varied over the years.
November's Luncheon Topic: The New Overtime Regulations Are Coming. Are you Ready?
**This program has been approved for two recertification hours towards PHR, SPHR and GPHR and two credits for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP.
A complimentary program brought to you by Express Employment Professionals and Ogletree Deakins. Are you prepared to address the new overtime rules recently passed by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division? The new minimum salary level ($47,476/year) for the executive, administrative, and professional employee exemptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will more than double the current minimum salary level ($23,660/year).
The new rules become effective for all employers on December, 1, 2016, and the DOL estimates that 4.2 million more employees will become eligible for overtime if their salaries are not increased. Join us for a presentation in which you'll:
- Gain understanding of the new rules
- Learn how they impact your business
- Receive a 5-step action plan
